About Me

Hi, I'm Lanjun Jiang. I graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute.

Lanjun Jiang is a designer who is good at expressing ideas through creativity. Most of his works are influenced by Chinese culture.

I like to incorporate traditional Chinese elements into my designs because I have been influenced by it since I was a child. I hope that through my expression of traditional culture in design, I can bring you a different feeling and vision.

INSPIRATION

My design is inspired by the Chinese kite.

Kites, also known as paper kites, have a history of more than 2,000 years, and the culture of paper kites has been changing with the development of the times in the long history. Its use has been innovative and changing from military to praying for blessings and nowadays entertainment.

Kites can be constructed in a variety of shapes and sizes. I see so many possibilities in its composition! Its surface material is very unique. The craftsmen who make the kites give them a lot of emotion, so I am fascinated by them! I will try to express it in a creative way in my clothing design.

MY WORK

PORTFOLIOS

DETAIL

I innovate the construction and emotion of kite making on clothing.

The kite structure is used throughout the collection. I use a lot of shaping materials to build up the entire frame of the garment. Innovative experimental fabrics are used to express the translucency and thinness of the kite. The pattern on the fabric is an expression of the traces of kite making, a tribute to the difficulty of cultural inheritance.
