Hello, Im Aaliyah Riaz a Fashion Creative Direction graduate from UOH
Aaliyah Riaz is a British Pakistani who specializes in creative direction. The aspects of this portfolio include fashion styling, photography, videography and visual communications highlighting the individual roles within a fashion creative director's role.
After studying Fashion Creative Direction for 3 years, this course has allowed me to develop my skills in visual communications, as I have become proficient in various areas such as photography, fashion-film making and styling. I have excelled in projects that have required a strong creative direction which has helped me build my confidence and shape my identity as a Creative Director. I strive to develop my career within the creative industry with knowledge and skills for the development of high-level concepts for design projects and direction.
INSPIRATION
“Fashion is a language that creates itself in clothes to interpret reality” - Karl Lagerfeld.
This Karl Lagerfeld quote has inspired me throughout my studies as a fashion creative director. Admiring such work has motivated me to build upon my portfolio displaying my fashion direction skills through styling, photography and innovation. Analysing Lagerfeld’s work for Chanel and his biography has helped me understand the roles and responsibilities of a successful creative director as well as allowing me to interpret such roles into my own work.
I am a bright and hardworking individual who enjoys all aspects of working within a team environment and on my own initiative. I present myself as a very dynamic, creative, and eager individual with a desire to succeed as a fashion creative director taking inspiration from industry professionals.

I directed and created a fashion film incorporating strong styling elements.
The directors' treatment was my final major projects main promotional and digital marketing element for a resale service I created harnessing the reach of Chanels' existing and new high-profile consumers. Within this director's treatment I have demonstrated extensive photographic and creative directive skills, specializing in my interests, through my photoshoots, from sourcing garments, models, locations, coordinating/styling outfits and translating my ideas to designs. The theme for this film was vintage Chanel which was showcased throughout each scene, with strong direction, styling and editing. This film displayed a variety of different scenes of the model with a vintage and authentic vision for the consumers.
