Having a creative eye, I take inspiration from everything around me, from people to culture and the surroundings I'm in, with art, architecture and heritage being a big driving force in the generation of my ideas. I specialise in menswear, outerwear and sportswear, allowing me to combine style with practicality and comfortability.
I am an enthusiastic and driven designer who takes pride in their work. My confident communication skills allow me to put forward ideas, both when leading and being part of a team, whilst also understanding and having a considered approach, allowing others to put their ideas across. I thrive on demanding environments and love being “thrown in at the deep end”, as this is where I feel you learn the most, when fully immersing yourself in something. My eagerness to learn and better myself as well as others, whilst also being a perfectionist allows me to accomplish whatever I set out to achieve.
INSPIRATION
My final collection "Psychedelic Renaissance" takes a deep dive into the research being done globally on the use of psychedelics to treat people with mental health problems. This is represented throughout the collection with innovative fabric choices, hand-finished details and artwork from one of my family members. This is encapsulated within a current, contemporary streetwear collection.
With this in mind, I wanted to take inspiration from the local environment in Lancashire. With meander maps of the local area inspiring shapes and colour palette, mixing that with my hallucinogenic view on the world to create a collection that was as stylish as it is practical and comfortable. Something I will be taking in to my own brand, Agnostics. This collection represents the birth of the brand and what people can expect to come from the brand.
DETAIL
Psychedelic Renaissance focusses on the research going into the use of psychedelics to treat mental health issues such as PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Taking inspiration from my environment, psychedelic art and architecture whilst integrating that with practical, stylish and comfortable garments, I have created a contemporary streetwear collection that can be worn anywhere, by anyone, at any time. Representing the psychedelic treatment through fabric choices and hand finished elements was important for me in order to show the work that is being done to treat patients. Through doing this, it allows for consumers to represent themselves how they want to, with each piece being versatile enough to wear with any other piece of the collection, through a carefully selected earthy, hallucinogenic colour palette. This is the debut collection for my Made-to-Order contemporary streetwear brand, Agnostics.
