About Me
I'm Alba and I want to share my passion as a Fashion Designer.
My history with fashion was born in a small village in the Andes, with a simple lifestyle surrounded by nature. There I developed an appreciation of clean lines, an admiration of craftsmanship and to value the using of one’s proper identity as a way of communication.
After acquiring an engineering degree, a drawing and sewing course, I decided to come to Milan to power my creative passion and discover myself as a fashion designer. As a junior fashion designer I want to express freedom and imperfection of the contemporary society, mixing the past, tradition and the currently trends in the world. I want to influence people with textures, shapes and pure colors that allow them to be themselves. With fashion we can improve the world in a sustainable, artisanal a technological way. I'm a creative, determinate and strong women who wants to share her talent.
INSPIRATION
Fashion highlights the human exterior, reflecting a sensitive identity of passion and determination.
My greatest source of inspiration comes from my father’s diary, “With you the poor”, a collection of emotions that shows the world of simple people and a time relived by the pictures. One of the purest demonstrations of love is to remember, and with these photos I remember the Bolivian shapes and the value of using natural materials.
In an environment where everything manifests itself externally and luxuriously, I would like to forget you, but there you remain. Deep inside I live in a hidden reality that is much overlooked, yet willfully insists in remaining among us like a white color contaminated by blue. If you couldn’t be with me, undeniable love, I would cease to navigate through life, but you stay with me. Your truth assures me that nothing is a lie, and as long as I could feel it, you would be my strength to defend an idea.

The work on this collection was completely artisanal. All the garments have been made by hand processes and techniques. When I saw the photos of my father's diary, I realized that I was living in a mix of past and present. In Bolivia my father founded a hospital helps people from the countryside, place where I grew up. Women off this small village inspired me for the artisanal and delicate work, on the combination off mohair and cotton threads with gauze and bandage materials. The materials used in the collection were gauze and bandage from hospital materials, which I recycled from expired ones. The details in lingerie were inspired, the stitches, were inspired by the medical work. Colors in the collection are the blue of the sky, white of the purity and a touch of brown of the land work. I believe in the power of women, and I wanted to express in designs freedom and artisanal work that they express in Bolivia, in a sweetness, fluid, sensual and softness collection.
