Hello! I'm Alex, welcome to my creative space
I have recently graduated with a BA (hons) Fashion Branding and Communication degree, and my work specialises in current trends and the impact of this across all creative platforms. I enjoy being in a constant creative environment through collaborations with different artists to produce art. I am very eager to constantly create and produce work post university
My work focuses on my own identity, experience, and story. This final project sees my manifestation of my personal Queer utopia. Planet Queer has helped me handle oppression, discrimination and homophobia I have faced in Planet Earth.
INSPIRATION
Planet Queer is a diverse space that focuses on queer identities, experience, and talents.
Planet Queer creates a queer space that uplifts one another and spark conversations on significant queer topics, and highlight the importance of recognising queer talents, considering queer identities within society rather than alienating them. Expression and playfulness are at the core of Planet Queer, exploring the dimensions of innovation, immersion and experience by going beyond pages. If one was ever to feel alienated, alone, or not seen Planet Queer will always be there for them.
Planet Queer is an inclusive space that accepts people for being people and specifically queer individuals in situations where they have felt secluded and not seen. It is natural for people to respond to extreme matters in a creative form, and this is what Planet Queer does. Uplifting queer identities who feel like they have nowhere to express and show who they are through their art. This publication is a natural response to neglection, discrimination and oppression.
