I’m a UWE fashion communication graduate and a creative who loves to explore current affairs and pop culture. I use image-making, video-making and styling to tell stories and express myself visually in fashion and music.
My work is inspired by the themes of heritage, nostalgia and youth culture, which reflect my own personal journey as a Polish-British individual. I love to capture the beauty of everyday life and the diverse people who shape it, whether they are from different subcultures or immigrants. I am curious about the stories and motivations of these people, and how they navigate their identities and cultures in Britain, a country that owes so much to their hard work and creativity.
INSPIRATION
I’m ready to take on the industry and use my diverse skillset to make an impact. I’m eager to apply what I’ve learnt at university to real-life challenges and opportunities. I’m inspired by the communities and cultures around me, and I want to share their stories and beauty with a wider audience.
I’m passionate about celebrating femininity and challenging the stereotypes that have oppressed women for centuries. For my final university project, I created a publication called “The Myth of Me”, which explores the historical and modern female identities through the lens of folklore tales. I wanted to empower women by telling the stories of the demonised and overlooked women who defied the norms and expectations of their times.
DETAIL
I collaborated with the dance group BDK who are a close-knit group of dancers, for the proposed Wales Bonner campaign. The campaign includes a short film and hero imagery, that highlight the contrast between the busy, stressful city life and the calm,, timeless natural world. The campaign explores the themes of escaping our reality and entering a timeless state. Part of my strategy was holding a weekend of events and pop-ups for the launch of the campaign.
