About Me

Hi, I'm Ao, a fashion branding and communication student from AUB

Ao is an editor of the original local publication Frenzy Magazine. Through his magazine, he documented some of the places he visited in Bournemouth over three years. And he aims to share their stories with audience by Frenzy Magazine.

This magazine I think could be a guidance or a city tour for those travellers or for the people in Bournemouth who want to find some amusing places to chill out. In this year, I have bought some London city guild books and I thought I could do the similar things with my FMP. All of these are my starting points for FRENZY Magazine. I aim to show the spirit of local people and places. if the readers will pay more attentions to the surroundings in their area after reading this magazine as well as support those neighbours like I show in Frenzy, that move will go beyond the content itself.

INSPIRATION

I am inspired by what I love

'A state or period of uncontrolled excitement or wild behaviour’, that’s the meaning of frenzy. But I think a person who is deeply into something can be described FRENZY. I like to buy small, independent magazines that are not very well known. They all like to focus on the city they live in. Apart from this, I am also into street culture and coffee and they are the theme of Frenzy Magazine.

PORTFOLIOS

DETAIL

There are five stores and two local people in Bournemouth I have involved in this magazine

They are a print shop ITSALLGOODS.CO, a coffee shop Ounce Coffee Co, a coffee bean roaster BadHand Coffee, a vintage clothes shop GTMP. and a grocery shop Almond&Co. They form the first part of magazine ‘The Locals’. As for he second part, it is about two local people. They are Gary and Adam and I styled for them while shooting. The last part is called ‘Episode’ which is a section for my photographer to display his pictures taken in Bournemouth. Also, he gave his impression about Bournemouth.

"I'm not really into style. I'm more into confidence or having something to say" - Virgil Abloh
