INSPIRATION
An exploration of a force that holds no bounds within it's constraints, it continues to push through. Inspired by the nautical way of life at the fishing villages in Borneo and South India, this collection delves into the physical constraints put in place to contain the forces of wavelengths. Using found objects and juxtaposing it with 3D print, innovative pattern cutting and digital manufacturing, Wavelength showcases the ripple effect of digital production through fashion design.

DETAIL
The goal of Wavelength is to design for plastic circularity. Found plastic objects were upcycled into garments using non-sew technology such as ultrasonic welding, hot air bonding and removable trims. To visualise the concept of Wavelength, niche design methodologies such as 3D print were used to replicate rain droplets and macrame to represent constraint.
