About Me

Hi,I'm pattern cutter and fashion designer focusing on reconstruction

My final collection explores the theme of trauma, inspired by my experiences in the military where violence and restrictive environments led to deep emotional scars. I express these feelings through deconstruction, raw edges, exposed seams, and reconstruction techniques, reflecting the fragmented and raw nature of trauma.

I specialize in innovative techniques such as deconstruction, raw edges, exposed seams, and reconstruction, which allow me to convey complex narratives and emotions through my garments. My designs are not just fashion pieces but expressions of personal stories and the human condition, aiming to evoke a deep connection and understanding in those who wear and observe them. Through my work, I strive to push the boundaries of contemporary fashion, integrating sustainable practices and new technologies to create pieces that are both thought-provoking and forward-thinking.

INSPIRATION

My initial inspiration comes from memories of the military, deconstruction, and surrealism.

My initial inspiration is drawn from the haunting memories of my military experiences, where the violence and restrictive environments left deep emotional scars. These intense and often surreal recollections have led me to explore deconstruction and surrealism in my designs. Influenced by the works of Francis Bacon, I aim to capture the raw, visceral nature of trauma and the fragmented human psyche. Bacon's ability to depict the grotesque beauty within suffering resonates deeply with my vision, guiding my

DETAIL

I wanted to express the wounds of the heart through my clothing.

I decided to express the wounds of the heart by showcasing various details on the inside of the tailored jacket. The internal structure, often hidden from view, is revealed through intricate stitching, exposed seams, and raw edges, symbolizing the emotional scars that lie beneath the surface. This approach not only highlights the craftsmanship involved but also serves as a metaphor for the hidden depths of personal trauma. By bringing the interior details to the forefront, I aim to create a powerful visual narrative that speaks to the resilience and complexity of the human spirit.
