About Me
Hi, I’m Chen,a fashion design graduate from Bath Spa University.
Chen Yan is a fashion design student from China, specializing in fashion design. Her research often combines Chinese culture with personal experience.
After studying fashion design, I noticed the collision and integration of different cultures. I have a strong interest in fashion design and fabric design, and I hope to face fashion design from a different perspective to create powerful works.
INSPIRATION
My initial inspiration came from childhood memories.
Childhood is where people's dreams begin in the world. I always recall my childhood when I am in pain and confusion, and it always brings me strength and motivation to move forward. So I hope my clothes can bring the same power. By contrasting the joy of childhood with the fatigue of study or work, I combine the elements of childhood with work clothes. I hope that my clothes can not only bring childhood comfort and relaxation to people after a busy day, but also help people relax their physical fatigue by

I designed some small details to make the costume more removable and interesting.
In addition to childhood inspiration, I also printed some childhood patterns I drew on the fabric as my lining fabric, so that you can see these surprises every time you open the clothes. The huge long hands imitate the shape of hugging around the body, simulating the feeling of companionship and warmth. And some woven fabrics are attached to the clothes through magnets, so that we can choose whether to take them off. People can take off these colorful fabrics when they are working to keep serious, and restore these colorful decorations after the busy work.
This is a farewell to childhood and also the place where growth begins
