As a woman living in an ever-changing era, I ensure to find innovative and engaging ways of practicing fashion and beauty constructs with a strong knowledge of Art Directing principles.
Drawing inspiration from my surroundings, as well as my extensive understanding of fashion and beauty industry trends and contemporary societal issues in my role as Creative Director. The themes I explore through fashion pictures are heavily influenced by social media, fashion trends, and psychological practices.
INSPIRATION
My work provides a deeper understanding into psychological practices that lay within image production with my most recent influence an analysis of the feminine form showcasing power and resistance; a tool for liberation. The construction of my editorial campaign This is for me(n) was built upon the liberation of women and an analysis into the societal norms within society, that allow for an out-of-date patriarchal system to discourage female empowerment and allow for heterosexual male to exploit women.
The campaign dismantles the known and pursues a new way of viewing, the disruption of the male gaze is present with a deeper insight into the psychoanalysis of the human body and the reclamation of self worth after years of internalised self depreciation. This is for me(n) continues to highlight the necessity for subversive creations that question personal experience and help us break free from the constraints laced within society.Â
