About Me
Hey, i'm Diana, International Fashion Business Graduate from Cov Uni
My name is Diana Slahtina, i was born and raised in Riga, Latvia. I've always had interest in the fashion and when i finished school, i've moved to Coventry, UK, to pursue my dreams in the fashion industry and create more diverse and sustainable fashion for everyone.
My journey starts at Coventry University where i was studying International Fashion Business for 3 years. That was best experience of my life, that gave me loads of information, useful knowledges and opportunity to express myself in the best way. I've had an opportunity to meet new amazing people from across the world and meet with different cultures as well as build my own personality and style.
INSPIRATION
My concept was inspired by interracial couples.
Since my childhood i was sure that everyone should be equal, doesn't matter what is your nationality, appearance, roots or heritage, everyone should be treated the same way. I was always curious to explore different cultures and always admired interracial couples, as it proves, that love has no boundaries or rules, such as age, race or gender.
This project was my opportunity to show my point of view where love and diversity collides with fashion. I could never find a perfect swimsuit for myself, so i've decided to create my own swimwear inspired by the beautiful tones of the skin. In my opinion, not only underwear and tights can be skin matched, but swimwear as well. Aim of the project is to create an app , where people will be able to upload pictures and of themselves or any other preferred person to scan and find the perfect mix&match.
