Both my personal life and my academic life revolves around fashion. I am a Fashion Business and Promotion student specialising in buying, with experience at Next Head Office. I also specialise in digital graphic design and marketing, which are skills and hobbies I gained throughout my university experience, as well as in my current part time employment.
I am enthusiastic about creating meaningful academic work, which I will take forward into my career. The research and skills gained throughout my time at university has lead me to create modern outcomes within my work, considering consumer, brand and global awareness - displaying my work ethic, as well as original ideas.
INSPIRATION
Using a consolidation of the skills and knowledge accrued throughout my degree in a visually fluent, research supported, future viable concept and outcomes, to create a brand extension for high-street fashion and apparel distributor Size. This hypothetical brand extension included a physical and digital range plan for the Metaverse, as well as marketing outcomes, costings, app design and branding. The range plan was created using Illustrator, trends forecasting for the upcoming Autumn/Winter 2023.
The concept behind the fashion industry entering the Metaverse is to get consumers to wear Size’s garments more than once, rather than discarding items in the wardrobe; eliminating the wear-once culture that Gen Z seems to have formed. The inspiration behind this brand extension was to diversify the offerings of Size and to increase market share, by responding to a changing zeitgeist. This offers a competitive advantage over rivals that aren’t yet offering products and services within the Metaverse.
