About Me

Gabriella Rodriguez is a multidisciplinary artist based in the UK.

Originally from the United States, Gabriella has expertise in editorial photography, direction, styling, and writing, as well as knowledge in fashion marketing and campaigns, PR, project management, and trend forecasting.

Expecting to graduate from Norwich University of the Arts in July 2024 with a BA in Fashion Communication and Promotion, she has worked on the content team for the UK’s largest student-run magazine, Storehouse Magazine, contributing fashion photography, styling, creative direction and writing. Her experience also includes photography for a Norwich University of the Arts Student Support campaign and writing for Once Girls Magazine.

INSPIRATION

Community, Sustainability, Analogue media

Gabriella has a sustainable, diverse, and artful practice that thrives on collaboration and joy. Inspired by traditional creative practices such as cyanotype, fabric printing, mixed media collage, film photography and more, she creates innovative and personal work that is artful and one-of-a-kind. Her focus on the preservation and regeneration of analogue techniques and materials in an increasingly digital world is what sets her apart.

Her practice is strongly motivated by her community, often photographing creatives in her local community in Norwich and the Norfolk area that she feels represent the diverse, queer future she wants to see in the creative industry. She considers sustainability at the forefront of each project, reducing overconsumption and waste by thoughtfully sourcing garments when styling and using second-hand materials as much as is viable.

MY WORK

PORTFOLIOS

DETAIL

Work For Storehouse Magazine

I was a part of the content team for Storehouse Magazine, the UK’s largest student-run magazine. I contributed editorial fashion photography, direction, styling, and writing, communicating current fashion and cultural trends. I successfully followed various briefs, presented ideas to groups, adapted to group critiques, and produced high quality content whilst meeting deadlines.
