Hi, I am Harpreet, a fashion print graduate from Uni of Creative Arts
Hi, I am Harpreet Kaur. South Asian/ British from West London specialising in fashion textiles print design, illustrations, garment construction, and accessories. I love all things floral, creating full and playful prints and incorporating bold colours.
I am always intrigued to experiment with funky materials and fabrics, adding textures and personal touches to my work. After graduating, I would like to carry on creating eye-catching print designs and silhouettes for brands such as Richard Quinn and explore different fashion ventures such as styling and creative direction.
INSPIRATION
'Bon Appétit' Spring/ Summer 2022
‘Bon Appétit’ is a ready- to wear spring /summer collection with busy florals and is inspired by the ‘new’ activity of dining out. The collection grows from the activity of going out, escaping, and having a good time with loved ones. Motifs of tables and restaurants fall into my prints, surrounded by textures of polka dots, houndstooth, and florals creating a new wonderland. Exploration of the Roaring 20s, post-pandemic glory, an era of indulgence and glamour. Collection muse is Emily from Emily in Paris
The outfits are ready for going out to dinner, evening out, or dancing away at a party. The garments consist of puff sleeves, shorten hemlines, gathers, and ruffles to enter this new era of joy and decadence. My spring/ summer collection has allowed me to develop and strengthen both hand and digital techniques, my collection will consist of high-quality digitally printed satins, velvet, and taffeta to create a joyous collection of colorful garments. Elements of Devore are explored to add further texture.

PRINTING TIGHTS
FOR MY COLLECTION, I CHOSE TO PRINT MY VERY OWN TIGHTS FOR SOME OF THE LOOKS. I USED DYE- SUBLIMATION TO ACHIEVE THIS. THIS REALLY ELEVATED MY COLLECTION AND ADDED FURTHER PRINT DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT TO MY WORK. THIS IS A LACE PRINT I DESIGNED MYSELF FOR THIS COLLECTION WHICH IS USED IN OUTFIT TWO AND FOUR. AN ELEMENT WHICH HAS TAKEN MY COLLECTION ONE STEP FURTHER AND ADDED UNIQUENESS AND LUXURY.
