I'm an Art Director specialising in the cross-section of art, technology and fashion. I take an eclectic approach in assembling cross-disciplinary teams to realise my visions. I work with fashion photography, moving image, immersive gaming environments, augmented reality and more.
I'm passionate about exploring the boundaries in fashion image making, adopting new and upcoming technologies, as well as old ones. My practice has been research-heavy as I've taken a deep-dive into the past, present and future of technology in fashion. As an Art Director, I explore how mediums can complement or contrast against each other by working with teams across multiple disciplines.
INSPIRATION
In gaming terms, I'd define myself as an explorer. The escapism that falling through a map induces, and the moments of glimmer that bugs can create, are part of what push me to use my imagination in my visual work. Exploring fashion communication through different mediums has been insightful, and after every project I get excited to keep trying new approaches. Collaboration is at the heart of my practice now and the work always blossoms with each new person I bring into the project.

DETAIL
I created a video-game piece titled Dream-Land. I built a 3D world using photogrammetry scans I took of buildings and scenery, and assembled them myself in Adobe Dimension. I then collaborated with a junior games developer to turn it into a playable, interactive environment. I incorporated 3D-scanned fashion models and had the developer apply animations to them, to help narrate the digital environment. I collaborated with musicians suitable for the look and feel of the game, as well as a meme page on Instagram to include their images within the world. The title, ‘Dream-Land’, is loosely inspired by fictional works such as Alice in Wonderland, and the poem of the same name by Edgar Allan Poe. I have chosen deliberately glitchy and distorted looks in order to suit my chosen aesthetic and lend to the overall theme of dreaming. The loose storyline for the piece is based on the idea of the collective unconscious becoming digitised and explorable in real time, through a new digital technology: Dreamlink.
