About Me
Hi, I am Lan, a Chinese boy graduate from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute
LanXing is a boy who loves exploration. During his study in a traditional studio, he likes to combine art and clothing, and tries to do more styles and cross majors, aiming to explore more possibilities for the expression of traditional culture in fashion design.
I like to study some unconventional design forms and methods, as well as cross-professional communication and learning. Take traditional culture as the starting point of design, and then combine other professional techniques with fashion design. Give traditional culture new vitality and bring people more new thinking and feelings.
INSPIRATION
My initial inspiration was for thinking about 2D traditional patterns and static clothing.
In the process of visiting the exhibition in recent years, I found that the display effect of clothes on the mannequin was lower than that on the model. In addition to my thinking on the future inheritance of 2D traditional patterns, so I came up with the idea of making 2D patterns three-dimensional, clothing and dynamic. And investigated the current clothing from static to dynamic to virtual transformation, to explore more and more effective form possibilities.
National patterns contain excellent national spirit and culture, which deserve being inherited. I have been thinking about what kind of graphic pattern will inherit and develop in the future? So I took the Dong sun pattern as the starting point of this design, from 2D to 3D, static to dynamic, fabric to metal transformation, and interactive design. By breaking through the "tradition", we will create the visual effect of future clothing and endow the traditional culture with new vitality.

This design insists on the "transformation, tradition, inheritance, modernity" these four key words.
In the design style of Graphic Futurism, it generally presents a kind of science fiction creative clothing. The designer will be the small sun pattern based on the drum tower and accessories element style, and then combined with the large industrial design style. Hope to be through the plane graphics sun pattern three-dimensional, clothing, to create a dream of the future graphic style design. Let people be full of more thoughts about the future inheritance of Dong traditional culture, as well as more understanding of dong decorative elements and other solar patterns.
