Womenswear Fashion graduate from Kingston University
As a womenswear designer, I am passionate about creating clothing that empowers and inspires women. My design philosophy is centered around creating pieces that are both stylish and practical.
The inspiration for my latest womenswear fashion collection is the timeless elegance of leather, as well as the medical condition of Scoliosis. I have always been fascinated by the versatility and durability of leather, and I wanted to create a collection that showcased its beauty and versatility. Scoliosis has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. The curvature of my spine has caused me physical discomfort, limited my range of motion, and affected my self-esteem. I wanted to create a sustainable collection with deadstock leather which pushes the boundaries on beauty.
INSPIRATION
Beautiful Curves
Beautiful Curves is a collection developed from the medical condition of Scoliosis (where a C or S shaped lateral curve is developed in the spine). This collection has been inspired by a time of tribulation and distress from bullying and alienation cause by this health impairment. The suffering and pain from the corrective bracing and malformity in the spine has informed these pieces and the visual expressions in my latest work.
It's been a journey of ups and downs, from bracing as a child to tormenting pain as an adult. But despite the challenges, I've learned to embrace my scoliosis as a part of who I am. It's made me stronger, more resilient, and more compassionate towards others who may be facing their own physical struggles. I've also found a sense of community and support through connecting with others. While it's not always easy, I'm grateful for the lessons and growth which inspired me to design this collection.

Design Detail
My fashion collection features a unique combination of pleated leather, bold print, and intricate laser cutting. These elements come together to create a collection that is both edgy and sophisticated, with a distinct sense of artistry and craftsmanship. The pleated leather is a standout feature of the collection resembling the scoliotic spine. It adds texture and dimension to my design. The pleats create a sense of movement and fluidity, giving the garment a dynamic and playful feel. The leather itself is rich and luxurious, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the collection.
