About Me
I'm Lorenzo, a fashion design student from Istituto Marangoni
By utilising the fundamentals of men's and women's fashion with a focus on the feeling that a garment can give I intend to give the opportunity to reinventing one's own reality in a small world, without schemes, where can take refuge to feel free. My designs combines the confines between 'dream' and 'reality'. Make dream through my works is what motivates me.
My Projects has always been provoked by my emotions. I love to think I can give people the ability to dream through a garment. My work symbolises my love for diversity and creating a feeling; one of the most wonderful aspects of fashion is that anyone can express yourself with it. Consequently, I use my passion to study the world view of fashion and its approach with it. Diversity is a fundamental aspect of our existence that gives anyone the opportunity to stand out and give voice to their essence. Fashion has the power to enhance everyone's identity and it is what makes us unique.
INSPIRATION
My inspiration comes from people's desire to react to difficulties in order to finally feel free.
My work is focused on rebirth, on getting away from the suffering that we are forced to undergo every day, on the small struggles that everyone has to face and with which we clash every day until we are able to overcome them, and on the desire to reinvent our own reality in our small world, without schemes, without rules, where we take refuge to feel free and where we give vent to our essence.
A world linked to life, memories, giving the possibility to those who look at my project to feel that desire to get back into the game and transform what you have inside into something concrete, into something true. Unusual, articulate, gritty, these are the key words that characterize my work, a subjective vision that sees as its fulcrum the desire to give voice to what one feels in the depths and the desire to "rebel" against what keeps us anchored to emptiness that each of us feels inside.

Techniques, fabrics and details
For this project, consisting of six outfits, different design techniques were used in addition to manual modeling, such as draping but above all digital modeling, through the Clo3D software, which allowed the development of some of the garments made in the project. The study of materials and colors led to the choice of combining very different fabrics and colors, not only in the outfit as a whole but also through the creation of a patchwork that characterizes one of the looks. All this contaminated by a bit of street punk, with leather jackets, graffiti and rough details, passing from the men's wardrobe with oversized suits and volumes, up to couture with unusual shapes and bright colors, all aspects explored during my research.
