As a womenswear designer, I draw inspiration from a fusion of artistic expressions, cultural influences, personal style, and my heritage. My designs feature delicate silhouettes with meticulous attention to detail, embracing and celebrating the femininity of women.
Growing up in a bicultural family has greatly influenced my design aesthetic, particularly through the profound inspiration I draw from French culture. I've always been captivated by high-end minimalistic design, as I believe the simplest garments often showcase the most beauty through their craftsmanship. I favor elegant, classic cuts with a contemporary twist, and I admire designs that seamlessly balance functionality, wearability, and aesthetics.
INSPIRATION
I have always admired churches and sacred buildings, which serve as the heart of every city and bring people together. The majesty and beauty they exude, both from the outside and within, captivate me. I am particularly struck by the serene and quiet atmosphere they project – dark and cool, yet softly illuminated by light filtering by stained glass. I admire the architecture with its grand horizontal columns, bold circular windows and cross-shaped design.
"Apprendre de ma mère" draws inspiration from my family background blending attire from multiple generations to suit a modern lifestyle. Influenced by the elegant forms of stained glass and the way light filters through majestic buildings, my collection exudes a warm, peaceful ambiance. It incorporates darker tones accident with vibrant splashes of colour, evoking the sensation of stepping inside a bubble and being encapsulated by tranquility and quiet.
