Perceiving design as a form of art, combining it with the beauty of craftsmanship and functionality. Exploring the idea of sophisticated minimalism and duality of the garment. By bringing both, clean front and detailed back within the garment, I tried to show the emergence of different backgrounds, cultures and generations, within that timeline.
INSPIRATION
lifestyle and habitat of Central Asian citizens during the beginning of 20th century, when the nomadic lifestyle was still in practice, and that laid as foundation for the direction of my graduate collection. My inspiration drew from the idea of nomadic people, people who are in constant move, travelling from one place to another, stepping a foot on one land or other, and despite that it never stopped them from creating a feeling of a home in every single one of them.
Carrying their cloth and yurts, they have always found home in the place they stood, on a land they stepped.
DETAIL
during the 1910-1930s, with the modern outtake on it. My focus with this collection was to create the cloth that gifted you the comfort, confidence and the sense of safety.
