About Me

Never give up exploring.

Hi, I'm Menglong.A Fashion Design graduate from WSA.As a women's fashion designer, I believe that women's fashion design is a craft of self-expression and self-release from women's point of view, which accurately conveys women's aesthetic preferences and inner world through the styles, colours and fabrics of the garments and the language of design.

Through researching nineteenth-century women and classical styles, I will incorporate the image of the housewife and classical European elements such as the corset into my designs, creating women's wear pieces that are both elegant and irreverent by incorporating a modern style.

INSPIRATION

The times tilt.

With the rise of global awareness of gender equality, women have not only made remarkable achievements in the professional field, but have also demonstrated their unique charms in culture and art. Clothing design, as a combination of culture and art, has naturally become an important carrier to show women's strength and female identity. Especially in the nineteenth century in Europe, the status of women underwent a great change, and the fashion trend of this period also changed drastically.

The inspiration for this project comes from the women's exhibition "Women in the Revolt", which demonstrated that women all over the world fought relentlessly for freedom and equality. Therefore, I used 19th century European fashion as the basis for this project, and combined it with modern women's fashion styles to explore the expression of women's changing identities and status in clothing design. It is hoped that through this design, it will allow more people to see the glamour and power of women.
