Hi, I'm Liv, a womenswear fashion design graduate!
Inhabiting the space between intergenerational craft and contemporary textile innovation operates at the intersection of couture and ready to wear. I have a strong textile focus that characterises my brand, as each collection seeks to delve further into unexplored creative territory to produce an entirely new category of womenswear.
Pioneering the way for handcrafted, unique textiles - paying attention to the details that elevate everyday garments into special piece. an innovative brand approach to luxury, high quality materials with a variety of hand printed fabrics. Graduate collection, Marika is able to combine craftsmanship and details with sculptural volumes and draw inspiration from traditional silhouettes offering a contemporary take on femininity.
INSPIRATION
Marika
Inspired by the traditional dress of victorian clothing and the ideology of memory housing. Reinterpreting my grandmothers love for crochet and home craft with innovative textiles and a contemporary romantic edge. Diaphanous dresses and full, flowing ruffles characterise the spring/summer collection with a sense of lightness. I was able to integrate conventional crochet styles and stitching techniques with innovative fabric printing methods.
Using the bustle and other customary attire from the romantic period to advance present day styles. In relation to home and the comfort of memory preservation, Marika develops a realisation of a series of garments, each piece bringing forward a contemporary take on femininity. With unexpected combinations of softness and structure in a monochromatic colour palette.

This Spring/Summer collection is a realisation of garments that evoke a contemporary take on femininity, inspired by the comfort and preservation of memory. The collection is a homage to my grandmother's love for crochet and home craft, the legacy of traditional craftsmanship is not only preserved but also elevated to new heights, creating pieces that resonate with both history and the contemporary.
