About Me

WELCOME! I'M PAIGE FROM THE ARTS UNIVERSITY BOURNEMOUTH

Paige is a Fashion Branding and Communication student with a keen interest in fashion marketing. Her unbridled creative passion and ability to form and bring to life innovative ideas are innate. Paige strives to give her campaigns progressive purpose and longevity to ensure positive change wherever she goes.

Let me paint you a picture. It’s the year 2000, Auckland New Zealand, Destiny’s child is playing somewhere in the distance, it’s a great day; I was born. A baby girl screaming into the world, demanding for her ideas to be heard. Since then, I’ve blazed a trail of creativity, ever advancing innovative ideas with the sole intention of making positive change. My work tends to revolve around some sort of social justice particularly with themes of feminism and inclusivity. I love to bring my ideas to life through illustrations and recently started exploring AR to produce immersive experiences.

INSPIRATION

Paving the way to a better future for our youngest generations

My final project titled P.O.V introduces feminism to children at an age appropriate level, through stories, an app and immersive AR. I have always been interested in creating work that improves the future for children, building their self esteems and letting them express themselves freely.

My dissertation helped me understand the extent of which children are impacted by misogyny, which manifests itself in different ways. Boys may resort to toxic masculinity to avoid association with femininity, both girls and boys may hold themselves to unrealistic standards causing lowered self esteem. My project is designed to combat these issues and to equip children with the tools to resist the pressures of misogyny in society, allowing them to freely express themselves as they are.

LIVE PROJECT WITH SIZE?

size?Revolution was the name of my campaign I created during a live brief project with streetwear brand size?, to improve their diversity and inclusivity. I created a strategy document for the employees of size?, outlining a proposal for a diversity and inclusivity board - a collective of activists that hold Size? accountable and educate the brand from the inside out on all forms of diversity. The activists would also collaborate on future campaigns to ensure they are all created with longevity and true change in mind. I also created a zine for consumers of size? to join them on their progressive journey and get excited about upcoming campaigns with the activists.

"Blazing a trail of creativity and innovative ideas since the year 2000."
