Hi, I'm Bex, a Fashion Photography Graduate from Bath Spa University
My background as a certified dancer sets me apart in the world of photography. My intimate understanding of movement drives my artistic vision, allowing me to capture dynamic shots while exploring new perspectives within fashion norms. This unique perspective enables me to capture moments of fluidity and grace. Infusing my photographs with a sense of dynamism.
As a photographer, I have utilized my experience to discover and work with models from a wide range of cultures, backgrounds, and styles. My photography is about capturing the inner and outer beauty of my models while using imagery to tell a story. My aim is to always challenge perceptions. I achieve this by embracing the female gaze, redefining the female form, and using raw and natural textiles and environments. I strive to celebrate inclusivity and empowerment through my photography. My journey is one of self-exploration and creative expression, constantly discovering new facets of myself.
INSPIRATION
My inspiration has stemmed from the environments that have raised me as a woman and an artist.
I was inspired by the impassioned words of Sujata Bhatt’s “Muliebrity’”, the editorials featured explore the depths of womanhood and attempt to separate the various strands that it weaves across our lives. “Muliebrity” embraces the essence of womanhood in its most basic form and goes beyond the boundaries of simple femininity. The term “mulier,” which has its roots in Latin, refers to the eternal characteristics that set us apart as women and go beyond convention exploring all perspective of beauty.
The work embarks on an adventure of self-discovery within the framework of photography. The imagery delves into gender and personal exploration as one moves through different themes of femeninity. Both feelings of self and community are encapsulated within the works. All the women intertwined within the project play a vital role in delivering the message of womanhood. The work shows a harmonious unspoken communication between photographer, subject and the creative team.

I want to celebrate the many ways that femininity is expressed.
My exploration within the work challenges and reclaims the different gender gazes. We celebrate the complexity of womanhood, from the poetry of movement in dance to the transformative artistry of makeup. We recognise the impact of our childhood, the organic surroundings that nourished us, and the reflections of our individual adventures in the self-discovery mirror.
