ABOUT US
JAPANESE FASHION INSTITUTION, BASED IN OSAKA, PROVIDING SUPERIOR EDUCATION THAT REACHES WORLD'S STANDARD MODE
Although the level of skill of Japan's apparel industry is among the top in the world, unique ideas and designs did not blossom in Japan. We believe the ability to "generate ideas and design" is essential for winning the international race.
The tutors at Osaka Institute of Fashion (OIF) have themselves studied repeatedly at fashion schools in Italy, the U.K. and the U.S., mastered ways to teach 'inspiration method and design expression', and established the program to relay their experiences to Japanese students.
It is much easier to invite tutors from abroad, but doing so does not lead to reforming the educational system including the faculty and teaching methods. It is only by having the Japanese tutors study abroad every year that the academic standard can be raised and the most up-to-date teaching methods maintained.
OIF's aim and challenge are to nurture talent who are able to learn, Plan (generate ideas, design) and Do (practice) at world level.
SUPER DESIGNER DEPARTMENT
Debut your own brand while still in institute.
Acquire ideation ability and designing skills which will catch the eyes of buyers overseas.
This course trains world-class top designers through our unique Plan Do education curriculum. In the second year you will challenge expressing your own brand in a collection. In the third year you will participate in "ROOMS", one of the largest trade shows in Japan, and also study in Italy as a short-term student. By participating in activities that are well beyond a students', you will become skillful enough to launch your own private brand upon graduation.
*Advanced diploma: Graduates will be given a degree equal to Bachelor given by the university.

FASHION CREATOR DEPARTMENT
Study the basics of fashion for a year.
Then, move on into areas where you can exert your individuality.
This course is for those who want to create and express themselves in the fashion world. Our unique Plan Do education curriculum will enhance your abilities to generate ideas, to plan and to design which are essential skills in garment making. In the first year, you will study basic knowledge and skills broadly in order to discover what you are interested in and are good at. In the second year, you will choose from the 'Creative Designer', 'Apparel Designer', 'Pattern Making', 'Knitwear', and 'Haute Couture' courses to further your preparation for the profession of your choice.

2.In the second year, you will choose from the 'Creative Designer', 'Apparel Designer', 'Pattern Making', 'Knitwear', and 'Haute Couture' courses to acquire specialized knowledge and skills.
3.You can learn idea generation methods for designs which meet the global standard by following the curriculum developed by our faculty members who have studied at the most prestigious educational institutions overseas.
4.There are specialized curriculums which can help you discover your area of proficiency such as menswear or children's wear and further develop your skills.
5.You will have many opportunities to collaborate with apparel companies and the industry and experience the professional's workplace while still in college. This can lead to employment.
